How to become a human calendar

This article is not about improving your computer memory but concerning improving the human memory And become a brain gymnast yourselves :-).
Every healthy person has as much grams brain as anybody else. And yet, one person is better in remembering things than the other person. The difference is especially in the way one is using his memory. There are of course people who by chance are using their memory in the correct manner. But not lamented for people who don't.
You can compare your brain with your muscles. The more you use them, the better they get. The quantity of brain does not increase, but there will grow much more complex connections between the main brain cells. Each master cell is like a computer. And the connections between the cells are like Internet connections which link those computers with each other. And the better these computers (brain cells) are linked with each other, the better our brain will work.

How to become a human calendar yourselves?

Calculate the day name for every date in 2007. (Or beyond)

In this case I will show you how you can learn a complete calendar in just a few minutes.
The only thing you need to do is learn these 12 numbers.
Jan=6, Feb=2, Mar=2, Apr=5 May=0 Jun=3 Jul=5 Aug=1 Sep=4 Oct=6 Nov=2 Dec=4

622-503-514-624

It is one number actually of 12 figures, but to make easier for you. Split it up in groups of 3 figures. This way it is easier to learn 4 numbers of 3 digits. And it is easier to recall the number.
Say: somebody says September. Then you will know direct. Ha, the ninth month, therefore the last figure of the third group.
Now, this was established in 2006, but you do not have to adapt this range every year.
Only 1 correction number. For 2007 that is 1.
for 2008 a leap year ==> Jan and Feb = + 2 the rest = + 3
2009 is a ordinary year ==> + 4 for the complete year etc..

And now it comes.

The principle is always the same.

1 (correction for 2007) + figure from the range which belongs to the month + day number = X
From that X you draw the number 7 as much times as possible (therefore -7 or -14 or -21 or -28)
And the outcome is the day name reflected as a number.
Where 1=Monday, 2=Tue, 3=Wed etc..

Example: someone says 2007 Oct 13

==> 1 (correction for 2007) + 6 (October = 622-503-514-624) + 13 (day) = 20.
Then you draw as much times as possible 7 (14 in this case)
Result = 6. And this is the day number.
6 = therefore is Saturday.

13/10/2007 falls therefore on Saturday.

If you don't get it yet. Read the text once more.

This is not only a good brain exercise. But also a nice brain memory game that you can use to show-off at some family or friends birthday party.
